#GetCovered: An Obama Success Story


The health care campaign by the White House is faring better than any other twitter campaign organised by the Obama people. Obama care is basically a programme to provide Americans with access to affordable health care, improving the quality of healthcare, regulating the health insurance industry and reducing spending in health care.


The #GetCovered campaign on Twitter is for the launch of an online health insurance marketplace by the US Government, is being used more positively than negatively by tweeters, according to a sentiment score prepared using Social Media Monitoring tools.


The Campaign allows uninsured people to share their stories and buy affordable coverages. Though some tweets have mocked the campaign with phrases like, “ #GetCovered with egg on your face”


The campaign did have a significant amount of negative feedback but the sentiments derived speak volumes about its success as compared to any other campaign organised by the white house over the social media.
