Recent reports reveals that Youtube is planning to compete with Spotify with the launch of its very own On-demand music service. The video sharing website also intends to create an app and provide its users with unending numbers to listen and groove.
Like Spotify, Youtube is also planning a free tier and a premium tier to help its users reach out to their target niches better and faster.
There is still no official confirmation by YouTube. However, A company’s spokesperson said, “We’re always working on new and better ways for people to enjoy YouTube content across all screens, and on giving partners more opportunities to reach their fans. However, we have nothing to announce at this time.”
How much the venture shall benefit the platform and bring laurels to it, will be known only once it is set for public use.
