Google Helpouts

It looks like Google wants to be the answer to all your questions. After search engines, videos sharing websites, Google+, and much more, Google has now announced ‘Helpouts’ a new tool that connects users with experts who can help them with questions about home improvement, cooking or even medical advice, via live video chat .

So far, Google is positioning it as a marketplace and has approached several big companies to be a part of this new phenomenon. “With Google Helpouts, we can open the whole world to everybody. Most of the world’s most useful information resides in people’s heads,” said Udi Manber, Vice-President of Engineering at Google.

The companies can choose their own time and pricing, whether they wish to keep it per minute or by number of sessions. Google will take 20% of each transaction. The new service is able to highlight many Google products. Ranging from Google hangouts, Google search, Google+ and Google Wallet.

The tool can be very useful in times of needs. However, whether or not will it succeed is yet to be seen.
