Tour Builder is an extension to the Google Earth which allows its users to virtually go all around the world by the push of a button. According to a post by Google, “We originally created Tour Builder to give veterans a way to record all the places that military service has taken them, and preserve their stories and memories as a legacy for their families. But we also thought it could be a useful tool for anyone with a story to tell, so we made it available to everyone.”
With the help of this tour builder, you can create complete tours with an introductory page, pictures and vivid details. You can create your tour in a slideshow presentation-like layout and let the other viewers enjoy the beauty of the place through your eyes. There are 25 pictures allowed per frame which can be added at a particular location in the tour.
You can also use Google Street View to make your tour more attractive and life-like. This will enable you to pin the exact locations of the tour where the software will zoom in on its own to showcase the place more clearly.
The product is currently in its beta phase. Bringing all elements together, it simulates a complete visit of a particular place or event.
