Everyone is using Google Glass in their own way. Some using it as a cool gadget, other using it for getting traffic tickets (not intentionally) and Ed Bassmaster is using it for his YouTube pranks.
YouTube prankster Ed Bassmaster though not original, was quite amusing to both the victims and the bystanders. The prankster hung around a shopping mall, speaking loudly into his Google Glass and giving an impression to bystanders that he is talking to them. The prank is a takeoff of Bassmaster’s Bluetooth Man prank, in which he strikes up conversations with nearby strangers, only to claim that he’s talking to someone else on his Bluetooth device.
Google Glass has certainly become the center of attraction in past few months. Google version of wearable technology has create quite a stir in the market. The company has already rolled out its product to Glass explorers twice. And thanks to Glass explorer and PRserve founder Chris Barrett, Ed got Google Glass and his new prank.
Although it was just a prank, Ed used it to educate people about this new gadget who were totally unaware of its existence. “The only challenge of filming with Google Glass, he added, is the device’s tendency to draw a crowd.” said Ed Bassmaster.
