After ‘Friday’, Rebecca Black has struck again with her new single ‘Saturday’. The American pop singer and dancer who gained extensive media attention with the 2011 single “Friday” has released her latest single on YouTube on December 7, 2013 (a Saturday of course). Black gave fans a teaser last weekend on Twitter, telling her million-plus followers to keep an eye out for a new video coming Saturday instead of Friday, which is her usual release date.
The video has already crossed 8 million views mark on YouTube within just 48 hours of its release. The video is expected to create the same kind of craze as “Friday,” which debuted in the fall of 2011, and got more than 61 million views.
Following up on the chorus from “Friday,” where Black trumpets that “Everybody’s looking forward to the weekend,” her new song features the tagline, “I don’t want this Saturday to end.” The artist gave fans a teaser last weekend on Twitter telling her million-plus followers to await Saturday and sing to its tunes.
Looks like Sunday is next, after all it is the last remaining day of the weekend the pop singer hasn’t touched.
