Facebook is hiring for a secret project

Stories about Facebook developing a newsreader which will be on the same lines as the Flipboard have been dominating the social media domain for quite some time now. Though the social media giant has said nothing about such a product being worked upon, Facebook is all set to hire editors for its Flipboard-like mobile news aggregator, according to reports.

The editors will be responsible for selecting the best stories that would be apt for the kind of user base that Facebook has. Mark Zuckerberg started personalizing Facebook and thought of giving it an entirely new dimension. With the involvement of ‘Tweaks’ another Facebook feature recently rolled out that will change the entire equation with which marketers used to use the platform in order to expose their brands to the users.

The obvious competition has also compelled Facebook to take a step and launch its own news reader kind of feature that will make Facebook at par with the other likewise social media platforms. Facebook has never commented on the same but its daily steps and moves showcase that something exciting is about to come.

When asked about the same to a Facebook spokesperson he said, “We do not comment on rumors and speculation.”

We can only hope that the upcoming update is worth the wait.
