Google Glass is a new sensation for all app developers and each one is trying to create something different and something unique. Already a number of apps have been finalised to be rolled out with the product. Patrick Jackson, a firefighter and self-taught programmer in Rocky Mount, N.C. is all set to create a new firefighter app for the Glass to help his colleagues fight fire attacks in the country and world over.
The app isn’t ready yet and there still much to do but seeing what Jackson has in his mind an exciting app is about to make its way into the glass. The following video will give you a brief idea about what the developer has in his mind.
Initial versions of the app already help with minor tasks, such as receiving messages from dispatch or identifying nearby hydrants but to accomplish each and everything that is shown above will take him some time. Jackson’s dream of providing the firefighters will floor plans, extradition diagrams via the Google Glass are extraordinary but he believes that it is not far when he will be able to actually do the needful.
It is considered that his app will be ready in a time period of six months nearly when the device will be made available for the public. Jackson says, “I’m looking to provide it as a service to the fire department,” he said. “Right now, I’m still a career firefighter, and this is a side job.”
With a range of apps being created for the glass it surely will be a treat to use as well. Google Glass Apps will definitely add the x-factor to the device which will help Google to take it further and way ahead.
