If you didn’t have enough Google and Gmail contacts, now is the time to expand it. Google+ has been updated and now users can send and receive emails from other Google+ connections even if they have never exchanged email addresses. Fascinating as it sounds the recipient end users can alter the setting if they would like to or not like to receive emails from people in their circles, extended circles, or anyone on Google+.
Another interesting feature is that the users can also opt out of this feature by modifying account settings. Every time a mail is received, a note will appear notifying the user that the message was received “via your Google+ profile,” according to Google’s blog post.
Although Google+ users were able to connect through Google hangouts but the email functionality will definitely increase the professionalism factor and make it easier for many businesses to work and function in a better manner. In order to activate the services the users do not need to provide with their email addresses, even after a user sends a mail using the feature the email id still remains hidden until and unless the recipient of the mail decides to respond back in which case the email id is shared.
To send a mail using this feature a user just needs to compose a mail and start typing the name of the Google+ user, the pop up list comes up and you can henceforth select the contact you wish to send a mail to. If a user receives a Google+ message from someone outside his circles, the message will automatically appear in Gmail’s “social” folder, not the “primary” folder.
The social media influencer Google should now be content with its mailing system. It has made work easier for many corporate houses for whom searching contact used to be a challenge always.
