There is something new that marketers would want to worry about. Facebook is ready with a new update that will likely be a good news for all users but not for all the pages. ‘Tweaks’ is a new feed algorithm announced by Facebook on 21st January that will show more text status updates from users in the News Feed, and will downplay the number of text status updates from Pages.

That’s right, the status messages and other updates of pages and brands will be reduced and users will be given importance over them. According to Chris Turitzin, a Facebook product manager, “Page admins can expect a decrease in the distribution of their text status updates, but they may see some increases in engagement and distribution for other story types.”

Facebook had earlier tweaked in December when quality articles were being given more value over memes. The update has been made by the social media giant Facebook to maintain the interest of users in the website. Upon keen observations it was revealed that a user responds more and better to other posts than any brand related posts.

With such changes, marketers are sure to lose interest in the website and Facebook would never want that. So to keep everyone happy, the giant displayed an example of how brand managers could make posts in the future to be able to crawl up to the news feed of fans and followers.
