Google Glass Drivers on their own

All Google Glass fans will remember when Cecilia Abadie made history by getting the first ticket for driving while wearing the device in California in October 2013. Though her car was stopped for over speeding, seeing her with the reality augmented device she was given a second ticket even when she swore that the device was off and she just had it on.

Her ticker read as, “Driving with monitor visible to driver (Google Glass).” The case was already weak and it had rare chances of finding the accused guilty because there was no way by which it could be proven that the device was on and the monitor was distracting the driver’s vision.

There was no proof the device was on, ruled Commissioner John Blair of San Diego traffic court.

The case went in favour of Cecilia and now the Google Glass users can wear the device while driving provided it is off. That too won’t be a problem, the device that accepts voice commands can be put off at any instant. So now it is important for all the Glass drivers to drive responsibly and make sure their devices are off or atleast they are quick enough to give commands to their Glasses.
