Social Media is so alluring for everyone nowadays. Be it the common users or celebrities, all making use of the platform as per their involvement with the medium. More and more shows and TV series are joining the social media to ensure that people remember them everywhere. Addition of ‘Girls’ to Snapchat is yet another example of the show embracing social media. Girls is also active on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr.
Since the medium is the apt place to gain feedback because maximum talking about such shows takes place online. People discuss and trend shows that they like time and again. “When we look at all the different social platforms that are out there, we look at what the fans are doing naturally,” says Sabrina Caluori, HBO’s VP of social media and marketing.
There is no doubt in the fact that social media has changed the way in which marketers treat their brands and advertise them. What do you think, how has the social media changes the promotion and advertising dimensions in the market?
