There has always been a paradigm observed in the entertainment industry. Earlier it used to be staged then it began to showcase on the silver screen within the idiot box and now following the latest trend, the entertainment industry is shifting its focus to the social media domain.
No doubt that the social networking websites are also taking a lot of pain in making the platforms friendly and worth joining, the entertainment industry as a whole is trying to become a part of the domain such that they can also be a part of the hype and interact with fans regularly.
Out of so many famous names becoming a part of the domain it was Cinemax to try something new on Twitter’s six second video service, Vine. The account was created on the video sharing app to promote the second season of the famous action series, Banshee. It has created a cohesive Vine series which will be featuring the show characters and will provide an intimate look at the hopes and fears of citizens residing in Banshee, Penn., as opposed to just seeing Vine videos of actors out of character backstage.
It is the first time Vine has been used for such an integrated promotion using the characters itself. The new character Vine videos will serve as an extension to the show’s narrative, while the #BansheeOrigins videos will show off frames from the Banshee comic, and the atmospheric videos will highlight daytime and nighttime scenes in time-lapse form. ‘
Now its the first time Vine will be used in such a way to advertise a series. Lets see what Vine can do to take the show to an exceeding height.
