Google Acquires DeepMind

Google has always tried to widen its umbrella and increase the arena of its approach. Following its earlier footsteps, the company bought DeepMind, an artificial intelligence firm. Recent reports about Google’s latest acquisitions say that the social media hub bought the company for $400 million. This particular acquisition can help Google become a world leader in artificial intelligence.

The DeepMind website reads nothing about the take over by Google and very little has also been shared about what the intelligence agency actually does. Google’s CEO Larry Page confirmed that the London based agency is now a part of them only.

Google’s of Engineering, Ray Kurzweil, who wishes to build a search engine that is so advanced that could work like a ‘cybernetic friend.’ Taking over DeepMind will help the engineer reach a step closer to his dream. It will help Google compete against other major tech companies as they all try to gain business advantages by focusing on deep learning.

What exactly Google has in mind is hard to say but surely the recent acquisitions made by the company promises something that will be worth the wait. So lets keep our fingers crossed and wait Google to play its cards yet again.
